IGEA Fun Class Award Program

The IGEA offers the Fun Class Award Program—a special program completely separate from our standard award categories, designed just for the fun of it!

We believe in supporting and rewarding members who get their Gypsy Equines out into public venues to share the joy and love of the breed. We created this award so that no effort is wasted, giving you an opportunity for recognition simply for having a great time with your horse.

Fun Class Categories This award recognizes all the show classes that are not eligible for our standard Show Points and Awards Program. This includes all the lighthearted classes we know and love, such as:

• Costume Class

• Runaway Bride Barrels

• Simon Says

• Scavenger Hunt

• Egg and Spoon Race

• ...and any other Fun Class included at Open or Breed Shows!

How to Earn Fun Class Points

Gypsy Equines participating in the IGEA Show Points and Awards Program must be IGEA Registered and the Owner(s) and Exhibitor(s) must have a current IGEA Membership in good standing.  

• Submission: Simply add any Fun Class (or classes) to your completed IGEA Show Points & Awards Form. Earned points will automatically be added to this category.

• Standard Points: You will receive 1 Point for each Equine in your class that you place above.

• Team Classes: For classes that require a team of two or more equines (e.g., "double bareback"), you will receive 1 Point for each team you place above. Note: Even if the other equines on your team are not IGEA Registered, your IGEA Registered Equine is still eligible to garner points as part of that team placement.

• Year-End Reward: At the end of each year, the IGEA will proudly recognize and reward the Gypsy Equine with the most points in the Fun Class Award Program.

Program Season The Fun Class Award Program runs concurrently with our Yearly Show Program, from January 1st through December 31st.
