Halter: Halter Classes when conformation is judged In-Hand or on a Lunge Line.
Western: Western Pleasure riding (excludes Ranch or Reining).
Trail Competitive: All Trail Classes, ridden and In-Hand with Obstacles, including Ranch Trail and Extreme Trail.
Performance: Reining, Liberty, Ranch Riding pattern classes that are not disciplined Rail or Trail, and Working Cow Horse Classes that are judged (must include Livestock, not just fastest time).
Equitation: Any Equitation Class including Horsemanship, Showmanship, Western, and English.
English: All English Classes that do not include halter, hacking, or jumping.
Driving: All Driving Classes: Pleasure, Obstacle, Roadster, Combined, and Dressage.
Speed: All timed Speed Event Classes where the fastest time determines placings (excludes Fun classes).
Sport Horse & Pony: Includes Dressage, any Hacking, and Jumping.
Participate in any Open Show or Breed Show!
The Automatic Entry Point: You earn one single recognized participation point just for entering a class at an Open or Breed Show, over and above any class placing points you earn.
Breed Shows: Earn 1 automatic entry point per class, plus 1 point for each Equine you place above (up to 10 placings).
Open Shows: Earn 1 automatic entry point per class, plus ½ point for each Horse you place above (up to 10 placings).
Points earned in the categories above accumulate toward these prestigious titles:
Register Of Merit (ROM): Achieve 25 Points in a single Show Category.
Register Of Honor (ROH): Achieve 50 Points in a single Show Category.
Premier Excellence (PE): Achieve 75 Points in a single Show Category.
IGEA Championship Titles
Honorary Champion: Achieve 3 ROM Titles (one must be in Halter).
Versatile Champion: Achieve 5 ROM Titles (one must be in Halter).
Superior Star Champion: Achieve 5 Premier Excellence Titles (one must be in Halter).
To ensure your points are counted, please follow these guidelines carefully:
Gypsy Equines participating in the IGEA Show Points and Awards Program must be IGEA Registered and the Owner(s) and Exhibitor(s) must have a current IGEA Membership in good standing.
The Official Form: The IGEA Show Points Report Form must be completed by the Member/Exhibitor and signed by the Judge, Show Secretary, or an appropriate Hosting Show Staff Member to verify placings and class size.
Show Bill: Include a copy of the show bill (or a link to it if available online).
Submission Deadline: Forms must be postmarked (if mailed) or scanned and emailed to the IGEA Office within 30 days of the eligible show/event.
Late Submissions: Correctly completed forms received after the 30-day deadline will count toward Lifetime Titles, but WILL NOT be eligible for Year-End Awards. The absolute final deadline for any forms is January 31st of the following year.
